OUR CULTURE OF WINE
Here the wine is an experience that goes beyond its taste, it’s a culture in the air. The historic cellars, open to visitors, create an atmosphere with thrills during the tasting. The vineyards add unthinkable character and shades to the landscape. Ancient rites and crafts related to this production palpable leave ruts of the old days almost everywhere. Who does not understand what you're talking about has never been in OltrePò Pavese.
Hints of excellence and strong "eno-diversity"
They say the finest wine in the world is the Romanée-Conti: a Pinot Noir vinified in black. Well, the OltrePò Pavese is considered by experts as one of the best terroir in the world for Pinot Noir. This should be enough to convince even the most skeptical that excellence is at home here.
Pinot Noir - vinified in both black and white - but not just this: let consider the important Buttafuoco, the gaiety of Bonarda, and the freshness of Riesling. The Oltrepò Pavese is also a leader in the production of sparkling wine produced with the classic method. Oltrepò Pavese is leading by building on the traditions, but winking to modernity, as with the rosè Cruasé.
Being in a hilly strip of land straddling four very different regions - Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria and Emilia Romagna gives hints as to the uniquenessof these special wines.
